We all have treasured pictures that have been damaged over the course of time or through an accident. At Occur we can help restore these precious memories and with the improvements in modern technology and equipment it is also possible to improve on the original print quality of older images.

We offer a comprehensive range of image manipulation services.

At Occur it is possible to have the backgrounds changed, blemishes, red-eye, people, pets and objects removed, which detract from a great picture. We also restore cracked, scratched, stained, torn or faded photographs. Subjects can be added and combined from different photographs if you feel there is an element missing. Old Black and White photos can be retouched or given a new look with the addition of a sepia tone.

We grade the work required to a photograph using the following criteria:

Minor retouching:
Repairing basic damage. Minor retouching includes improvements to overall contrast and the repair of one scratch, blemish or red-eye removal.

Moderate retouching:
Repairing intermediate damage. Moderate retouching includes improvements to overall contrast, blemishes, red-eye removal, repairing spots, cracks, damaged corners and blemishes, as long as these do not pass through the head or face on the photograph.

Major retouching:
Repairing extensive damage. Major retouching includes improvements to overall contrast, blemishes, red-eye removal, repairing spots, cracks, repair of damage to faces, restoration of all missing corners and edges, repair of scratches, tears, lines and creases and subjects can be removed or added and combined from different photographs. Photos, which have been torn in half can also, be repaired. Prices start from £5.99 per photo; this price includes one finished photo printed on 6 x 4 high quality photographic paper in either gloss or matt finish
